...that will make you spend the whole morning trying to break your own record :)

Smack the pingu!

My own record is a crappy 501.3m, but record here at the moment is 593.5! Can you break it? :)

It is finally here!

If a few days ago I said that it was coming, it finally arrived yesterday: my new Apple PowerBook G4 15" :) It's the version with a PowerPC G4 running at 1.25Ghz, 512mb of RAM, 80Gb hard disk, DVD-R/CD-RW drive, etc. It simply is one of the best machines I've ever seen: thin, beautifully designed and silent. There is no way you could tell that there is a laptop running in a room where a PB is.

I'll write more about it in the coming days, as I am still getting used to it. You know, I find it strange that after all these years, now there is an "Apple" key, a "Command" key plus the control key. The system is fantastic and it is unbelievably easy to use... I mean, I had never before used Mac OS X but it didn't take me very long to start using all its shortcuts, drag-n-drop operations, etc. Not to mention that it looks fantastic and it's full of eye-candy (I'll post some screenshots soon :))

Drunk elephants

They should set a mandatory maximum alcohol level for elephants in India. Otherwise, things might get dangerous there... :)

iSwitched: What I didn't like

It can't all be so nice and after a very long post giving some of my reasons why I liked OS X and the PowerBook, there are also a few not-so-nice things that I'd like to write about... Keep reading :)

The FBI uses OS X

25/12/2004 19:29 | Categories: Apple | 0 Comments

I found this article from a Mac site today, and amongst other things, it mentions that many FBI agents use Macs running OS X in the office.

But the article is also very nice to read since it tells a little bit about security and unsuspecting users, from an FBI agent point of view. Worth reading!
