No updates, sorry

There hasn't been any updates lately around here because my camera phone was broken. In addition to that I just left my company (I'm starting on Monday in my new job) and I had to return the phone and the SIM card, so I won't be posting anything till Monday at least when I hopefully get a new decent camera phone.

In the meantime, have a look below. Now I can finally justify having a Core 2 Duo machine with 1.5Gb of RAM: so that I can watch football from a Chinese channel with a P2P client running in a virtualized Windows and seen through a transparent shell window. I don't know whether I should be thankful because the MacBook is such a flexible machine or sad because of this massive waste of resources :) Oh, and it's not even my team, they're playing later, but since this is P2P TV the sooner you connect the better :)

PPStream running in Parallels seen through a transparent iTerm window.

nice :) is it parallels? I've seen parallels in action providing a cube, where one side can be ms windows and the other side(s) mac OS. cool if you ask me :P ...and I'm curious on what you're doing at your new job. wish you all the best and a good start on monday.

Yes, it's Parallels. It's not the newest version but it's good enough. And yes it can do some fancy animations when you change from one environment to another but that's only when you're running Windows in full screen. I usually prefer the so-called "coherence mode" where Windows applications appear on your desktop as if they were normal OS X applications, with the only problem being the taskbar (but it doesn't annoy me too much)
