This is the farthest I have ever been from a cinema screen. But it is ok, it was "only" 27 pounds.

£27 for a cinema ticket?!?! Where was that? The one in Leicester Square?
It's nice to see pictures of London :O)
Yes it was 27 pounds for two tickets, and it was the Odeon right in Leicester Square. I doesn't get any more centric than that, does it? :) We tourists don't know any better...
Ah, 27 pounds for *two* tickets seems at least a bit more reasonable! Cinema in central London is always expensive anyway. And I seem to remember the Odeon in Leicester Square has pretty impressive sound, so I suppose it might be worth it :)
What did you see? Anything good?
We saw "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" in Odeon and then "In her shoes" in the Vue on the other side a couple of days later... I was a bit disappointed with the former, too slow. If you've see the trailer, you've already seen all the exciting scenes :) And I have to say that I actually liked the latter :)
I didn't quite like the Odeon as a movie theather. The room was too big, the screen was too far and the sound was like any other movie theather so I actually liked the Vue more, with its smaller room and so on!
By the way, how can British people pay like 13 pounds per ticket and then put up with 30-40 minutes of commercials? I found it outrageous! I bet that if this happened in Finland, the government would have already passed a low restricting the length of the commercials :)
