All you can do in Ruby and Python

PHP is not going anywhere anytime soon, but competition is getting tougher. Take a look at this article: Rolling with Ruby on Rails. It shows off the power of "Ruby on Rails" a very powerful MVC framework for creating web-based applications with database access. I really like the way the framework "discovers" the action classes, the controllers and how database access is implemented (for God's sake, it's only 2 lines!) And if you want to see more about Ruby on Rails, check out this video where the author shows how to create a simple blogging tool in 10 minutes. Impressive stuff!

I've already said that I'm really impressed by the things that can be achieved in Python and this new Ruby framework looks really really interesting. The more I work with PHP, the more I'm starting to miss a lot of concepts available in Python, Ruby or ObjectiveC+Cocoa (used in Mac OS X)

Looks like the time to move onto other projects is getting closer... We'll see!

Ruby looks really really cool... I really wish I had some time to learn more about it. And I am still very much impressed with what you can already achieve with Ruby on rails. I wish there was something like that for PHP!!
