Even more on the Mac mini!

In one article, News.com insists on comparing the Mac mini to those 299$ bottom-of-the-bottom-line Dell PCs and their conclusion is obviously that it might not be that worth it... Of course, if you forget about the lousy integrated video card from the PC, the lack of CD burner, or the lack of software as iLife '05.On the other hand, they're running another article with comments form Windows users who are waiting for the Mac mini to go on sale in order to buy one.
We don't know yet whether this new machine is going to be a sales hit for Apple but at least, it's generated a lot of attention... and that's always good
I would also buy one if I had a monitor... I'm even thinking to hook it up to my TV and replace the DVD player!

From my point of view, macmini is a good apple machine for people who haven't got a mac. But if you already have a g4 mac, it's too easy to connect your own mac to a monitor.
If I would buy a new mac, I would buy a iMac g5. Mac mini with 1gb of memory, wireless keyboard... is too expensive. But at this moment I don't need a new mac, I'm very happy with my iBook G4 12" ;)
I'm sort of mac freak and really would like to have Mini if there would be one thing that is really missing: Remote controller.
I already saw somebody making the same comment about a remote controller and I think that there already is something available for that. Google around, you might be surprised :)
If not you can always order the Bluetooth expansion and take a look at Salling Clicker a nice little tool that will allow you to use your Bluetooth-enabled phone as a remote controller. I've used and it's very cool :)
